Consumer Goods Forum (CGF)

The Consumer Goods Forum (CGF) is a CEO-led organisation that brings together global consumer goods retailers and manufacturers. Its main aim is to drive positive change and help address key challenges affecting the industry, including environmental and social sustainability, health, food safety and product data accuracy.

ALDI SOUTH Group joined the Consumer Goods Forum in 2020. Since then, we have participated in campaigns and expert working groups to drive positive change across the industry and help develop sustainable solutions.

ALDI was one of 23 organisations featured in The Consumer Goods Forum's 2021 Better Lives through Better Business campaign. It highlighted our work and success in reducing the negative impacts of chemical-based manufacturing processes used in the textile and footwear industries.

In 2023, ALDI SOUTH Group joined the Consumer Goods Forum's Food Waste Coalition of Action to address the urgent issue of food loss and waste. As a member, we committed to a number of activities, including measuring and reducing waste in our operations, fostering partnerships with suppliers and technology partners, and working with coalition partners to implement innovative strategies. We also aim to empower our customers by providing resources and guidance to minimise food waste at home.

In 2025, we became a member of the Consumer Goods Forum's Forest Positive Coalition (FPC). This initiative brings together diverse stakeholders to drive collective, transformative change to eliminate deforestation, forest conversion and degradation from key commodity supply chains and support forest positive businesses.
