The ALDI SOUTH Group is making it easier for customers to shop sustainably. The retailer has developed fully recyclable all-plastic pumps for its private-label hand soap products. These pumps, designed to replace traditional multi-material versions, ensure that every part of the packaging can be recycled—helping to support a circular economy and conserve valuable environmental resources.
The new pumps will be introduced in the UK and Ireland in 2025, with ALDI and HOFER stores in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Hungary, Italy, and Slovenia planned to follow. By eliminating non-recyclable components, ALDI is removing a common barrier to recycling, making it easier for customers to do their part.
This is part of ALDI SOUTH Group’s broader commitment to circular packaging, a key pillar of its Global Sustainability Strategy. With 90% of its product range consisting of private-label items, the company is determined to lead by example in increasing recyclability across its portfolio. The move underscores ALDI’s dedication to innovation that benefits both customers and the planet.
By making sustainability simple and accessible, the ALDI SOUTH Group demonstrates that small changes can create a big impact—making sustainable choices affordable for everyone.
