ALDI SOUTH GROUP
The ALDI SOUTH Group hosted its annual Fish and Seafood Sustainability Stakeholder Meeting
On July 2nd and 3rd, the ALDI SOUTH Group hosted a meeting in Salzburg, Austria for their sustainability partners to come together and discuss the current fish and seafood challenges and share actions and efforts for the construction of a more sustainable sector.

This significant event brought together esteemed partners, including Sustainable Fisheries Partnership (SFP), the Global Tuna Alliance (GTA), International Seafood Sustainability Foundation (ISSF) and the certification bodies Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), GlobalG.A.P. and Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP).

The two-day event was designed to chart the future direction of this sector according to the ALDI Nord and ALDI SOUTH Group respective visions, and the pathways towards a better ecosystem and a more sustainable supply chain.

Engaging and productive workshops allowed participants to identify the highest risks and opportunities within ALDI's supply chains. Attendees provided invaluable insights and suggestions for enhancing and expanding ALDI's responsibly sourced seafood range, moving closer to the critical objective of eradicating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing within the supply chain.

These efforts support our commitment to provide affordable and responsible products to our customers while promoting sustainable supply chains worldwide.
